Top 3 Bridesmaid Proposal Boxes

I'm guessing your wedding planning journey probably started with a proposal.

I'm also guessing - if that's the case - that it has probably become one of your most cherished memories.

Much like your own wedding proposal, proposing to your bridesmaids is such a special moment and likely one the two of you will remember for many years to come. In fact, I still have the card that my own sister gave me when she asked me to be her maid of honor tucked in a box for safekeeping. Tears and hugs were shed and I felt incredibly honored that of all people in the world, she'd choose me to stand by her side.

No matter if you choose only one lucky lady or ten, your bridesmaid proposal gives you the chance to let these women know how much they mean to you and I think that calls for going the extra mile.

Oh yeah, and just to make sure I mention it, these are all 100% my own opinions. This post was not sponsored!

Best Pre-Made Box

Teak & Twine

Okay, can you say gorgeous? All of Teak & Twine's curated boxes are incredibly beautiful. You can tell the attention to detail that they put into every box they craft and the end result is absolutely stunning.

The Claw Foot Tub box is one of my personal favorites, but it can get pretty pricey, so it may not be the best option if you're on a tight budget or have a ton of proposals.

Their bridesmaid boxes range from around $50 - $130. If you have the money and you're looking for a beautiful box without any hassle, Teak & Twine is an awesome option.

Best Semi-Made Box

Box Fox

While Box Fox does have some great pre-made options, the thing I like most about them is their "Build a Box" feature that allows you to pick what goes into your box.

This is a great option if you want to have a say on what's inside your boxes but still aren't interested in assembling them yourself.

They have a lot of great products to choose from, plus you have the flexibility of making small changes and customizing your box for each girl (say one love chocolate but another loves gummies!) The price of the boxes vary depending what you choose to place inside!

Best on a Budget

DIY Homemade

I'll be honest, when Evan and I got engaged we were wrapping up senior year of college. We started planning right away, but neither of us had full time jobs yet. I was on a budget and no matter how much I loved the beautiful pre-made boxes, it just wasn't possible.

That's when I decided to get crafty!

Paper Source has great gift boxes. Add some white crinkle paper (Amazon sells 1lb for around $10) and pretty ribbon and you're already halfway there.

When you DIY it, what goes inside is entirely up to you and I've gotta say, I love Anthropologie for this type of thing! They have so many candles, matches, and bath products, you can really just get all of the shopping done in one trip. Or, if you're shopping online, only pay shipping once!

My biggest tip for DIY is to try to stick to a cohesive color scheme for each box. It helps the box feel more intentional and curated.

Final Touches

the card

No matter what box option you choose, you can't forget the most important part - the actual proposal!

There's truly nothing like a handwritten letter telling someone how much they mean to you. It will likely become a keepsake that will be treasured by your friends forever. Even though some of the pre-made box companies offer to include a note with the box, I think hand writing your own makes the proposal that much more special.

Just find a card or some beautiful stationery for a personal touch!

Your girls are sure to appreciate all the love you poured into it!

the tag

Top your box off with a beautiful tag. This will make each girl's box feel special to her and will help you remember whose box belongs to who when you give them out! (This is especially important if you're making each box unique!)
